Thousands of cigarettes smuggled to Denmark from east Germany

<Sunday morning in th ecourt in Korsør, a 53-year-old man was at a hearing, who was arrested Saturday in connection with the disclosure of a smuggler boat with 800,000 unstamped cigarettes in Skæskør fjord. He was imprisoned until December 9.>

The Danish Police handed him over to Gestapo in Copenhaguen, was sentenced to five years in German war court.

Lived in small apartment in Norregade 73, Koge, Denmark.

Member of the Communist Party in 1937.

Volunteered for Spain, fought in the Civil War against Franco.
